Kishi Bashi’s full length, 151a (TFN Review), was number 5 in our Top 50 last year so we always get excited when he releases new material. This 7-inch sees two brand new tracks on wax that give a little preview into his highly anticipated sophomore album.

The A-side, “Philosophize In It! Chemicalize With It!,” is an early version of a track from his new album and it picks right back up where 151a left off. With its layered vocals, upbeat tempo and hand claps, Kishi Bashi soars through this song which already sounds like it will be a highlight on the new record in its final version. The B-Side, “Song For The Sold,” is another new track and exclusive to this 7-inch. It has a big orchestrated sound and features more of Bashi’s trademark violin.

The 7-Inch is limited to 1000 hand-numbered copies on clear vinyl w/ multi-colored splatter. The jacket is a clear simple plastic and the wax is spun at 45 rpm. The 7-inch is sold out so if you want a copy start searching the second hand markets – it is worth the hunt!
