Shrug – “Radio Madonna” [Video]

If there ever was a band that I thought would break out of Dayton, Ohio it was Shrug. Mainstays on the local circuit back in the mid-90’s the group released several quality records but never quite broke through to the bigger audience they deserved. It has been ten years since the band released a new record although its members have stayed busy in some recent groups TFN has featured here that include The Motel Beds, Human Cannonball, and The Boxcar Suite.

Well, the guys are back with their fifth long player titled Age of Ashes, which is set to release June 11th. “Radio Madonna” is the first track and video from the album and really finds the group getting back to their roots! Twin Peaks – “Butterfly” [Video]

Twin Peaks released their new record, Down In Heaven, today along with a new video for the song “Butterfly.” The video was clearly inspired in part by the acid trip scene in Easy Rider, and directed by Ezra Ewen.

Following a Chicago kick-off tonight, the band is hitting the road, with both headline dates and gigs supporting Cage The Elephant on a leg of arena shows. Check out the dates below.
