Brain Fallon Painkillers Island Records [2016] Fire Note Says: Fallon steps out on his own and offers a debut with feeling. King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard – “Gamma Knife” [Video]

“Nonagon infinity opens the door,” sings Stu Mackenzie, frontman of Australian psych-rockers King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. It turns out, though, that once the door’s open, it never closes. That’s because the Melbourne septet has ingeniously crafted what may be the world’s first infinitely looping LP.

Each of the nine tracks on Nonagon Infinity seamlessly flows into the next, with the final song linking straight back into the top of the opener. One watch of the video will even make you dizzy as King Gizzard turn you around and around!

New album drops April 29th and currently there are at least four vinyl variants depending on the continent. You can pre-order HERE.

White Lung – “Hungry” [Video]

White Lung are are back and have shared an excellent new video for first single “Hungry”, which was written by Mish Barber-Way and Justin Gradin, directed by Gradin. “Hungry” stars Amber Tamblyn (Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants, The Ring), members from Deafheaven and also Deap Vally.

Their new record, Paradise, is out May 6th via Domino and this time around White Lung have teamed up with producer Lars Stalfors who is well known for his work with HEALTH, Alice Glass, Cold War Kids. At 28 minutes it should be another speaker raising record!

Jon Patrick Walker – “Hideous Monster” [Video]

Jon Patrick Walker has a professional resume that most people can only dream about with credits that include film, television and on- and off-Broadway shows. That only gives you some idea that he has talent and should give you cofidence that his singer/songwriter qualities can meet the expectations.

The video for his single, “Hideous Monster” will put your ears at ease with its folk/rock blend that is both smooth like Ron Sexsmith while having the edge of Ryan Adams. It won’t surprise you that Walker’s influences include the Beatles, Paul Simon, The Who and Harry Nilsson.

“Hideous Monster” is from his forthcoming self-released sophomore record, People Going Somewhere, and is due out March 11. The lyric video gives you all the insight you need into the track as I really dig the emphasis on the lines “Don’t speak – if you’ve got nothing to say / Don’t creep / No don’t be creeping my way / Don’t love / Or don’t love me like that / YOU’RE USING MEEEE.” If you like this track, I think you will enjoy the full length so make sure to look Walker up.
