TFN has always been proud to call Dayton, Ohio its home base. Along the way over the last 15 years we have made tons of friends and one of those for sure is another Dayton (and Columbus) staple in the Smug Brothers. With this newest premiere we also believe that Kyle Melton, Kyle Sowash, Don Thrasher, and Scott Tribble could be called regulars around here and that is totally fine with us!
With all of that said, TFN is happy to premiere the Smug Brothers new video for “Seemed Like You To Me!” The track is off of their forthcoming album, Application Of The Twig, which is due out September 10, 2021 via Gas Daddy Go! Records.
If you have followed Smug Brothers over the years, you may notice a slightly different sound with “Seemed Like You To Me.” The track has a lighter jangle to it which highlights that Smug Brothers are at a perfectly relaxed and confident place with their music. Application Of The Twig creates a different take for the band but still contains an indie rock pulse. The record has a nice balance all the way through and it honestly could be their most complete work to date!
Application Of The Twig will be released as a limited hand-numbered custom-ordered lathe-cut vinyl along with CD and digital versions available. All of which can be ordered today at the link below!
You can pre-order the album HERE.
