And So I Watch You From Afar
Heirs
Sargent House [2015]
Fire Drill Album Review: Heirs is the fourth album from Belfast natives And So I Watch You From Afar, and offers ten new tracks of their mostly-instrumental math rock/post rock sound. Fans of the genre will find plenty to love here, from the frenetic guitar ballistics of opener “Run Home,” to the steady crescendo of “A Beacon, A Compass, An Anchor,” to the expansive atmospherics of the title track. There’s not much development on their past work, so if you never liked the band this album won’t change your mind—but it’s a solid set of tracks that existing converts should enjoy.
