Paul Weller Releases “Dragonfly” EP Ltd Vinyl December 17th

An absolute must for all Paul Weller, and ideed vinyl fans, on December 17th Island Records relase a strictly limited numbered edition of 3000 copies of the Dragonfly EP. (Tracks also available digitally). Not only is it super-limited but the beautiful artwork has been specially commissioned by  none other than one of Britain’s greatest artists Sir Peter Blake – the first time he has collaborated with Weller since he designed the iconic Stanley Road album sleeve in 1995.  The EP’s title track “Dragonfly” is taken from Paul’s No. 1 album Sonik Kicks and rounds off the album’s campaign with aplomb.

As well as “Dragonfly”, this eminently covetable item also features various bonus tracks and former b-sides all which have not been available on vinyl before now.

These hidden gems all together for the first time come from the critically acclaimed Sonik Kicks album recording sessions and were originally available from these places:  Lay Down Your Weary Burden and We Got A Lot were on the Japanese version of Sonik Kicks and on the When Your Garden’s Overgrown E.P,  Portal ToThe Past was on the Dangerous Age single, Devotion featured on the deluxe album & Japanese album, and finally, The Piperwas on The Attic EP.

Having just recently finished playing a few live shows in the US and Japan, Paul will be performing at  an intimate  invited audience / competition winner only show at Abbey Road studios on November 9th.  He will also be heading up the annual Crisis benefit show at the Hammersmith Apollo on the 19th December with guest Miles Kane and special guest Emile Sande.
