B Boys
No Worry No Mind
Captured Tracks [2016]

Fire Drill Album Review: I for one am relieved the B Boys are not a retro outfit of dancers trying to recapture the glory of Breakin’ 2: Electric Boogaloo. Instead, I got eight tracks of very listenable indie punk rock. I have had the No Worry No Mind EP for a few weeks and each time a track came up via shuffle on the old iPod, I had to glance down to see who I was hearing. Eventually the EP clicked and I realized I really dug their sound. It is a familiar blend of Wire and the Parquet Courts, but each song is so well done, you do not really mind the similarities. No Worry No Mind just breezes by. A fun summertime listen for those that value the days of late 70’s art punk.
