The Friday Fire Track: U-Men – “Dig It A Hole”

I absolutely love music history. Especially when a label like Sub Pop goes back and puts effort into giving everyone a true look at something that most didn’t know existed or had forgotten.

That “something” is the U-Men, which from 1983 to 1987 were the hype of Seattle’s underground. Today’s Friday Fire Track, “Dig It A Hole,” showcases the visceral energy contained in their music and after you take it for a spin; how your blood pressure goes up several notches is exactly what I am talking about!

Sub Pop will release U-Men, the self-titled anthology on Friday, November 3rd, 2017. This comprehensive remastered collection, will include today’s Friday Fire Track, “Dig It A Hole,” and compiles their entire studio-recorded output, plus 5 unreleased songs, with a 16-page book of photos, liner notes and interviews with the band. It will be available in a 3 LP box set, 2 CD digipack and digitally.

Time to wake the fuck up with this one. Enjoy your Friday!
