The Friday Fire Track: Gold Connections – “New Religion”

Today’s Friday Fire Track is all about the celebration of new music in 2017. Charlottesville, VA-based band Gold Connections is the perfect kick off to our year. They are led by songwriter, guitarist and lyricist Will Marsh, which has signed to Fat Possum Records. “New Religion,” is the new single from their self-titled debut EP out March 31st, 2017.

If you keep on listening through the slow burner you will eventually hear the famialar voice of Will Toledo (Car Seat Headrest) on backing vocals. You will also be excited to know that Toledo has a much bigger role here, as he also plays drums, electric guitar, bass, and has more backing vocals throughout the debut EP.

This track has a very early Walkmen meets Headrest vibe and is absolutly solid. Enjoy your Friday and get ready for this year to impress!
