WILD BELLE TO RELEASE DEBUT ALBUM ON MARCH 12TH
ON COLUMBIA RECORDS

WATCH THE BAND PERFORM “IT’S TOO LATE” ON CONAN

Band Will Join Toro Y Moi On A North American Tour Early Next Year

Wild Belle is set to release their debut album Isles on March 12th, 2013 on Columbia Records. Recorded with electronics wizard Bill Skibbe at Keyclub Recordings in Benton Harbor, Michigan, Isles was written and produced by Chicago based siblings Natalie and Elliot Bergman. Isles is comprised of eleven songs that showcase Wild Belle’s signature blend of, what the Chicago Tribune raves is, “breezy sounding pop music, drawing on elements of Jamaican rock-steady, U.K. trip-hop and atmospheric balladry.” The band showcased their distinctive sound with a debut television performance of the groovy album cut “It’s Too Late” on CONAN last night: http://teamcoco.com/video/wild-belle-its-too-late-11/26/12

After a handful of stand-out live shows at SXSW, Wild Belle hopped onto some of the year’s hottest tours including support slots for Passion Pit, The Temper Trap and Tennis, plus, festival performances at Austin City Limits and Treasure Island Musical Festival. The musical talents of both siblings shine during the band’s live performances, with Rolling Stone noting how “Natalie (breezes) about the stage with relaxed bravado while Elliot (switches) effortlessly between keyboards and sax…creating an organic wall of sound.” The band will continue to tour throughout the end of this year. To kick off their March album release they’ll join Toro y Moi for a run of dates starting in late January (see full list of dates below).

Wild Belle has had quite the year since they self-released their critically acclaimed single “Keep You” in February. The duo, who distinguish themselves from their contemporaries with their captivating sound, were catapulted into a whirlwind of media adoration by musical tastemakers around the globe; with promising reviews from the Chicago Tribune, NME, Nylon, Rolling Stone, Vogue, T, The New York Style Magazine and more. With tracks like “It’s Too Late” and “Backslider” giving fans more of a taste of what’s to come, Wild Belle solidified that they are a band on the rise with more to come in 2013.
